About Me
Hi! My name is Clarissa Dohn, and I am a recent graduate of Kendall College of Art and Design with a bachelors in Illustration.
Since I was a kid, I've had a passion for drawing. Throughout my grade school years, I took as many art related classes as I could. In High School, I was lucky to have a great art program available to me, along with a great staff who pushed me to pursue what I loved. Along with taking classes such as Advanced Art at my High School, I enrolled in Dual enrollment classes through Kendall during my Junior and Senior year.
I'm working on specializing in Children's Book and Wildlife Illustrations, along with other animal based illustrations. I love working with powdered graphite, ink, and watercolor, but I've been also practicing with oils and other mediums.
In my photography work, I use unconventional cameras and means to create 'dream' like images. I've used plastic wrap and watercolor over my 35mm, watercolor applied directly on disposable cameras, and the Holga to create my work posted on this sight.
My work has been featured in the Kendall Open House Exhibit, the Grand Rapids BOB Halloween party, and the LightSpaceTime.com online gallery (both for my animal wildlife and outdoor photography).
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me on the Contacts link above, or by the social icons below.
Have a great day!
